LESS THAN HALF A DAY
If you graduated from a kenyan high school on any of the years around 2007,then the statement 'school makes men out of boys' is probaly one of the many lines you read
A few years down the line and probably you no longer lay your hands on literature like 'Half a Day and Other Stories',but fat chance you still in some school somewhere. And what is school(read campus) making out of you?
Campus is probably the last freedom we all have. What with the ability to attend lectures at will,get home safely in the wee hours and comrade power that seems to supercede the law of the land. Clear campus and its all gone! Its time to vacate your folks premises,browse for and attend every interview (read appear smarter than a CEO when you dont earn a penny) and attach your wealth,which you havent even began amassing,as collateral for all loans on offer.
So have no fear or shame to go out and enjoy this last phase of adulthood without responsibility to the fullest. But take a census of the number of students in campuses,graph against the nunber of vacancies you see in the dailies and you'll realise why you need grades,and contacts,in the process. Live college life,its less than half the day that awaits you.
